Design a Differentiated Lesson Plan

The main strategy I used are the random partner tickets. This is I pass out the tickets to every kid randomly. Then they have to quietly find their partner and pick a place to sit in under one minute. An example of what might be on the ticket it one might have a slice of bread with jelly on it. This person needs to then find the partner that has a slice of bread with peanut butter on it because they go together and are therefore partners. My students have been using these since the beginning of the year and know the rules. Some students do not enjoy being partnered up randomly, so there is always the discussion that sometimes we work with people we may not want to work with, however we treat them with respect and kindness. Other students love these because it is a fun way to find your partner and it is always random so they may work with someone they do not always work with.          According to the research journal “The Effect of the Community of Inquiry (CoI) Learning Model and Learning Style towards social Skills, they discuss how “learners should be given more space and opportunity to explore constructing knowledge, both individually and in groups for learning is very adequate facilities, adapting to characteristics and learning styles,” (Syarifuddin et al., 2019). Knowing the learning style inventory of the student’s teachers work with can allow the teachers to accommodate for those learning styles in the lessons. For verbal learners teachers can have them read out loud to the class (Somji, 2018) . This would help the verbal learner and the aural learner. The teacher could also ask the verbal learner to teach another student in class certain material. Assessing Technology-Based Resources for Differentiation

Description of Each Technology Epic is a free reading website that teachers can sign up for that has hundreds of books for students of all levels. Some books are audiobooks, others are read-to-me, and some are meant for just free reading.  iReady My Path is a platform that the curriculum uses that allows students to receive personalized lesson plans for the skills they are lacking.  Kahoot is a website that allows teachers to create interactive quizzes for their students. Many teachers use it as comprehension checks and reviews as it is a fun way for students to practice work.  Breakdown of Each Technology Epic is incredibly easy to use. It is a free website for teachers to use. All you have to do is input your students names and give them the generated class code.
